IMMEDIATE VACANCY ON THE GARFIELD CITY COUNCIL FOR WARD 2-POSITION 1

The City of Garfield has an immediate vacancy to fill on the Garfield City Council. Council Member Scott Wassman resigned as of 6/24/2021, effective immediately. The City Council will have an interview session and elect a New City Council Member for the vacant seat, of Ward 2-Position 1, at the next Regular City Council Meeting, on Tuesday July the 13th, 2021 at 6:00 PM, in the Alderman Terry Warren meeting room at Garfield City Hall. Once the applicant has been elected, Mayor Blackburn will then have the swearing in session directly following. Applicants must attend the said July council meeting, be a Registered Voter in Benton County, and live in Ward 2-Position 1, in the city limits of Garfield. You can view the City Ward map under the Gov't/Council page of this website, to see if you live in the qualified ward for this seat. The City of Garfield has a job opening for an administrative aid / trainee position, pending resignation of the current Recorder-Treasurer. To be eligible to Apply, you must be a registered voter and live inside the City Limits of Garfield, AR. Please drop Resumes off at Garfield City Hall Monday-Friday, anytime 9AM-3PM. Work hours for the position are 9AM-3PM, Monday through Friday.
