The City of Garfield building permit applications have a new look. The 2019 updated versions are now available.
Before new building can commence in Garfield, on either residential or commercial property, a permit must be issued by the City of Garfield. Appropriate permit applications need to be filled out and, along with supporting documents, submitted at City Hall for review by the Code Enforcement Officer. If the permit application meets all of the City’s requirements for a particular type of project, then a permit will be issued.
This year separate forms are being provided for residential and commercial building permit applications. The Plumbing Permit Application includes a page for plumbing inspection records of inspections made by the City’s Licensed Plumbing Inspector.
The City is also offering a new permit for fence construction, extension, or replacement. As for the building permit applications, the Fence Permit Application must be reviewed by the Code Enforcement Officer, before a permit is issued.
