The Garfield City Council consists of four elected aldermen, two from each of the City Wards in Garfield, Arkansas. Ward Two, Position One of the City Council was declared vacant on January 15, 2019.
Applicants for the open City Council position must be at least 18 years old; reside within the boundaries of Ward Two, Garfield, Arkansas; be a registered voter; and be interviewed by the Garfield City Council at a regular monthly meeting, specifically, on February 12, 2019. The February City Council meeting will begin at 6:00 PM and will be open to the public.
The Notice of Vacancy for the Garfield City Council position will be posted at five public places in Garfield and on the City Facebook page. The five public locations are the following: City Hall, the Short Stop, the United States Post Office in Garfield, the Village Market, and the Flying RF Feed & Farm Supply.
