At the August meeting of the Garfield City Council, Council members voted unanimously to amend the City of Garfield Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance 153).
Ordinance 153 was initially passed in May 2013. The approved amendments to the City of Garfield Zoning Ordinance were proposed by the Garfield Planning Commission. The amendments are described below.
Amendment #1 (page 15)
In Section 7, DISTRICT REGULATIONS, under Residential Estates and Height, Width, & Area Regulations, a fifth item was added:
Property owner must provide an approved perc test, or if septic already exists, proof that current septic lines are clear of existing water lines and follow Current State Regulations.
Amendment #2 (page 25)
In Section 10, GENERAL STANDARDS, under Manufactured Homes and Size, the size for lots on which mobile homes are placed was increased from a minimum of 1/2 acre or more to a minimum “of one (1) acre” or more.
